VLCM provides IT consulting for customers throughout the Mountain West (Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico). First, VLCM IT consultants discuss your business needs and provide IT recommendations to help you meet or exceed your business goals. Next, VLCM helps you purchase hardware and software. Finally, VLCM provides technical services to install, maintain, or repair your information technology.

How does the relationship work?

When working with us, your VLCM sales team will consist of an account manager, engineers, technical consultants, and our partners. VLCM simplifies the procurement process by providing you with a VLCM inside sales representative to place orders, configure quotes, process returns, and oversee anything else you need.

My employees need technical support and training, can VLCM help?

VLCM continually offers educational seminars, lunch and learns, and other opportunities for our customers to learn about new technologies and how those technologies can solve their business problems. In addition to this, VLCM has access to hundreds of training courses that can assist your employees in their jobs. Along with our partners, VLCM will invite you and your technical staff to monthly and quarterly trainings highlighting how new technology products can improve your business’ IT infrastructure.

VLCM offers two types of training opportunities for your employees:

Educational Series: This series focuses on the trends and the business side of IT–offering a high-level overview of topics pertinent to the IT industry. It’s a low-key, relatively-informal gathering for anybody from your IT teams to attend. Business owners, vendors, and VLCM present on industry knowledge and the application of new discoveries related to IT.

Technical Workshops and Lunch: This series is designed for a specific topic of learning and spans several weeks (1.5 hour sessions each week) until the content is completed. These workshops align with several vendor certifications and also include some hands-on configuration in our virtual environment. We have a program where we can even help pay for tests that your employee may want to take. We use a combination of e-learning and in-class instructors. Lunch is provided and available for those who attend.

VLCM can recommend many IT solutions, how do I know which IT solution is best for my company?

At times, we may devise more than one best solution for your IT needs. Your VLCM sales team can present you with options and explain the pros and cons for each. Once you understand the advantages to your IT solutions, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your company’s long-term business and IT goals.

Why should I use VLCM for IT consulting instead of my own in-house IT staff?

Every company has unique IT needs and resources. At VLCM, we want to supplement your IT staff, not replace it. Use our managed IT services for those things you are not comfortable with, or just don’t like doing. At times, your company may want to manage your own proprietary technology solutions. VLCM recommends using VLCM IT consulting for large projects when you need additional technical resources. Small companies use VLCM IT consultants to save money and leverage their IT resources. Who will install my new hardware or software?

Why should I let VLCM fix my hardware rather than sending it to the manufacturer?

VLCM’s convenient technical service department saves you time and money. A highly skilled VLCM technician can receive an expedited part and repair your hardware in a fraction of the time it would take elsewhere. The manufacturer requires you to mail in your laptop and wait two weeks. At VLCM, we fix, clean, and return your hardware in an average of three days. VLCM can communicate your repair status daily through email. Because VLCM is so convenient, we save you time, money, and frustration.

What brands does VLCM service?

VLCM is both factory authorized and warranty authorized to service HP, Canon, Xerox, Epson, Lenovo, Toshiba, Lexmark, and Apple products.

What are VLCM's service hours?

VLCM’s service hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Does VLCM do pickups?

VLCM does not offer pickups under most circumstances. The hardware must be brought to our service center.

Where does VLCM have service-center locations?

VLCM has two service-center locations, one at our headquarters in Salt Lake (3520 S. 300 W. Salt Lake City, UT 84115) and one at our Orem office (367 E. 800 S. Orem, UT 84097)

Does VLCM do house calls?

VLCM does not offer house calls for hardware repair.

VLCM works hard to bring you the best value for your money. Yes, VLCM works with our partners to bring volume discounts and special pricing. VLCM also alerts you when special pricing promotions are available.

How long does it take for the products to arrive at my company?

Orders are placed and processed the same day, and most products arrive in 2-4 business days.
